This breakfast seminar will be hosted by Matthew Fleming and he will be joined by Tom Fleming founder of Venrex, Daniel Qu founder of Midnite and Richard Hill, Partner and Head of Direct Investments here at Stonehage Fleming. The panel of guest speakers will discuss all aspects of creating value both as a Founder and an investor and will include a case study of Revolut which Tom Fleming discovered at Seedcamp.
Venrex is a UK based venture capital fund that provides equity funding to start-ups and small businesses with a focus on technology enabled companies within the consumer retail and FinTech industries. Founded in 2003 by Industry legends Mark Esiri and Tom Fleming. Venrex has invested in over 70 companies including notonthehighstreet.com, Orlebar Brown, Just Eat and Charlotte Tilbury. Venrex was a seed investor in Revolut, now valued at 260 times the initial investment.
Daniel Qu co-founded Midnite in 2015 alongside Nick Wright. Midnite are building one of the world’s most technologically advanced esports betting platforms and is at the Seed stage of investment. Nick and Dan previously founded Dribble, one of the UK’s most popular fantasy football games.
This will be a very informal, free flowing session with plenty of opportunities for broader discussion and networking.
