Stonehage Fleming are delighted to invite you for an exclusive discussion.
We would be delighted if you would join us for a discussion with James Macready, Mark Swart and Robert Fidgen on The UK as a Tax Jurisdiction & the Lifecycle of a UK Resident Non-Domiciled Individual.
In the light of recent changes to the taxation of individuals who are resident but not domiciled in the UK for tax purposes, known colloquially as “Non-Doms”, there may be a view that the UK is no longer an attractive jurisdiction for internationally mobile High Net Worth Families and Individuals. This is far from the case and there are still significant tax advantages to moving to the UK.
Whilst it’s not all palm trees and sunny beaches, the UK provides an attractive and flexible tax jurisdiction that should not be overlooked. Provided the necessary advice is taken prior to arrival and during residency the UK remains a very tax efficient jurisdiction for “Non-Doms”. However, navigating the regime and the UK residency rules can be complex and strategic advice and co-ordination is required throughout the lifecycle of the “Non-Dom”.
