We are delighted to host an afternoon for Westminster Working Cultures UK (WWCUK).

The host for the afternoon will be Guy Hudson, Head of Group Marketing and Communications. We will also be joined by our guest speaker, Natalie Campbell MBE, a member of the Stonehage Fleming UK Advisory Board and one of the panel of Judges for Stonehage Fleming XV who share an insight into the world of work and how gaining confidence and building skills is key.

As one of her first acts as the Chancellor of the University of Westminster, Natalie established the Chancellor’s Circle a group of businesses and associations to provide practical support to students through mentoring, internships, and work experience. Stonehage Fleming is proud to be one of the 12 Founding Members of the Chancellor’s Circle.

Programme:

1. Welcome & Introduction – Guy Hudson

2. Break off into small groups (4 groups of 10 students) with two SF colleagues from varying roles per group. Each SF person would then share/discuss the following in each group:

  • Their professional journey from University to now (lessons they have learnt, challenges, failures, etc.
  • Background on their individual roles and SF.Insights to the working environment.
  • Their advice for students in their job search and professional development (for example, things you wish you knew when you were a student, how to gain confidence, build a network, interview tips, etc.)
  • Sharing something like managing your personal brand, managing your budget, etc., keeping in mind that our participants are UG and PG students from lower socio-economic backgrounds.

3. SF Colleagues to gather as a panel for Q&A session for students to have an opportunity to ask questions/feedback on mini breakout sessions

4. Talk from Natalie Campbell

5. Informal networking for more in-depth discussions
