BEST PIECE OF ADVICE?
This was good advice from my dad: learn your craft, earn your living and then make sure you give back and help others. I have kept it with me throughout my career. The learn part was connected to listening. “You have two ears and one mouth. Use them in that proportion”, he told me. I have always heeded that advice. You have to listen more to really understand and build empathy with others. Never transmit without understanding what the real issue is.
WHAT DOES BEING SELECTED FOR THE SFXV MEAN TO YOU?
It is an honour and a privilege to be selected as part of the cohort of 15 women. The Four Pillars of Capital identified by Stonehage Fleming are vital to a healthy, sustainable and growing society so, to be selected to represent these is truly humbling. Importantly, it gives me the impetus to try and do more.
